FOOTBALL 1990
The football team finished with a 9-2 record in 1990. The team won their third consecutive conference title and made it the state playoffs for the third year in a row.
The football players for the year 1990 include, Scott Hassler, Jeremy Chipper, Jason Rohde, Matt Krusemark, Kevin McTaggart, Rusty Millard, Jason Spencer, Kevin Belt, Eric Martin, Brent Beacom, Pat Bousquet, Joe Hassler, Ryan Albrecht, Rod Collins, Shane Mast, Orelous Bousquet, Brad Brinkman, John Howard, Chad Strong, Chad Jepsen, Bryan Belt, Brian Mackling, Mike Touchè, Ben Schwarten, Cory Anderson, Brian Emmons, Scott Mackling, Kyle Ahlers, Jon Martin, Kyle Utemark, Bary Habrock, Scott Anderson, Chad Anderson, Steve Miller, Chad Luschen, Jason Martineck, and Doug Steele. The coaches that year included; Mr. Cliff Wiseman, Mr. Dan Bormann, and Mr. Al Porter.
The players who received All-Conference honors that year were, Chad Jepsen, Bryan Belt, Kyle Ahlers, and Kyle Utemark. Scott Anderson, Bary Habrock, Jon Martin, Jason Martineck, and Chad Strong, made the first team defense. Honorable Mention was honored to, Brian Emmons, Dan Gentrup, and Brian Mackling. State honors were given to Scott Anderson, Bary Habrock, and Chad Jepsen.
VOLLEYBALL 1990
The volleyball girls finished the year 15 and 9. The girls got third in the Pender Tourney, they won the Newcastle Tourney, and finished in second at the Lewis and Clark Conference. The JV girls had an 8 and 4 season for the year, placing third in the Wakefield JV tourney. The C team ended the year with a 4 and 3 record.
The Volleyball team that year consisted of 23 girls; Gidget Olson, Rosalyn Krahmer, Brenda langmack, Cathi Oetken, Becky Wrage, Marcy Schwarten, Sara McCabe, Jamie Modlin, Keri Kellogg, Ronda Brinkman, Alison Beacom, Carla Paul sin, Amy McTaggart, Martin Miller, Penny Gilster, Jenny Kruger, Heather Wheelen, Tiffany Belt, Torrey Rager, Dean Lamp, Mandy Touchè, NicOLE anderson, and Toni Huggenberger. The coaches that year include; Miss Rita Kneifl and Mrs. Patti Cunningham.
BOYS BASKETBALL 1990-1991
The boys basketball team ended the season with a 10 and 8 record. The team beat the ranked Wisner-Pilger and Bancroft-Rosalie teams. The boys also made it to the finals in the Lewis and Clark Tournament.
Some of the players received honors in basketball that year. Scott Anderson made first team All-Conference and All-State honorable mention, and Bary Habrock made second team All-Conference. Brent Beacom and Chad Strong received the All-Conference Honorable Mention.
The basketball boys team for 1990-1991 consisted of 23 boys. The players that year were, Kevin McTaggart, Matt Krusemark, Jason Rohde, Brian Mackling, Bryan Belt, Chad Strong, Brad Brinkman, Rod Collins, Joe Hassler, Jason Spencer, Ryan Albrecht, Kevin Belt, Erick Martin, Shane Mast, Ben Schwarten, Jon Martin, Chad Anderson, Scott Anderson, Bary Habrock, Kyle Utemark, Troy Martin, Cory Anderson, and Jeremy Stewart. The coaches that year were Mr.Dan Bormann and Mr. Burnell Drieling.
GIRLS BASKETBALL 1990-1991
The girls ended their basketball season with a major defeating record of 19 and 2. The ladies received their fourth consecutive conference championship and their fourth consecutive Conference Tournament championship.
There were 20 Lady Pirates for the 1990-1991 school year. Carla Paulsen, Heidi Hassler, Tamae Shoji, Amy McTaggart, Mandy Fischer, Tiffany Belt, Toni Huggenberger, Leah Fuchser, Rosalyn Krahmer, Marcy Schwarten, Cathi Oetken, Brenda Langmack, Ronda Brinkman, Heather Dohrman, Heather Wheelen, Torrey Rager, Sara McCabe, Keri Kellogg, Stacy Mueller, and Ronda Hunn. The coach was Mr.Cliff Wiseman and Tammy Wiseman was a manager.
The basketball players who were regcognized for awards include; Leah Fuchser receiving the first team All-Conference and second team All-State, Marcy Schwarten received first team All-Conference and All-State Honorable Mention. All-Conference Honorable Mention was awarded to Cathi Oetken and Rosalyn Krahmer.
TRACK 1991
The 1991 Track team consisted of many boys, and few girls. There were 7 girls including, Toni Huggenberger, Ginny Wrage, Carla Paulsen, Angie Modlin, Kelly Deitlogg, Penny Gilster, and Julie Crombie. There were 13 boys that year including: Kevin Belt, Erick Martin, Robert Engle, Matt Krusemark, Scott Hassler, Jeremy Stewart, Shane Mast, Brian Emmons, Jon Martin, Scott Anderson, Jason Martineck, Chad Jepsen, and Chad Strong
The coaches in 1991 included Mr. Dan Bormann, Mr. Burnell Drieling, and Mrs. Carol Porter. Ryan Olson was a manager.
Two boys, Scott Anderson and Chad Strong, qualified for state. Scott Anderson ran the 110 High Hurdles and Chad Strong ran the 400 meter.
FHA
The FHA members held a Pizza sale for their money-making project that school year. FFA and FBLA combined with FHA to hold the Sweetheart Dance, and FBLA members had a combined gift exchange with the FHA members.
Eleven members received top gold's with their SEARCH-STAR projects. The eleven members and their projects were: Danalle Novak and Cheryl Dinges did a literacy project, Dena Lamp, Angie Modlin and Penny Gilster did a Volunteer Action project, Nicole Anderson and Heidi Hassler had an "Improving Family Relations" project, Penny Gilster and jamie Modlin organized letters, packages, and a banner, Deb Doupnik and Tonya Mellick made an All Star Project demonstrating a flannel board on drugs, Tonya Porter and Amy Steele demonstrated "On the Job Stress Relief" to a few businesses, Greg Albrecht and Shane Koepke helped out the preschoolers in Emerson by using the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Safety Turtles". Shane Koepke and Greg Albrecht's projects received top gold at state level and qualified for Nationals in Washington D.C.
There were 38 members of FHA for the 1990-91 school year including:Codi Anderson, Jeff Benck, Nicole Anderson, Mike Bodlack, Dan Mattison, Heather Wheelen, Heidi Hassler, Mandy Fuchser, Heather Dohrman, Rosalyn Krahmer, Dena Lamp, Jamie Modlin, Tonya Porter, Justin Stork, Danelle Nock, Sara McCabe, Cheryl Dinges, Keri Kellogg, Greg Albrecht, Sara Clift, Amy Steele, Deb Doupnik, Sabrina Bodlack, Penny Gilster, Tiffany Belt, STacy Mueller, and Shane Koepke. The sponsors that year were Mrs. Carol Porter and Miss Linda Daveport.
FFA 1990-91
This year the Senior Division brought home that first place trophy for dairy judging at districts and the Junior Livestock team received a second place trophy at districts. Joe Hassler, Ryan Albrecht,a and Brad Brinkman also received individual honors. Brad Brinkman also received the State FFA Degree. The FFA chapter also received awards for Safety in BOAC, and leadership.The FFA chapter participated in a few activities, also helping out with the Sweetheart Dance.

Mr. Burnell Drieling was the sponsor that year.
FBLA
FBLA in 1990-91 had a pretty big chapter including 26 members, with Kyle Ahlers as President, Leah Fuchser as Vice President, Scott Anderson as Secretary, Jason Martineck as Treasurer, Ronda Brinkman as Reporter, Jenny Bressler as Parliamentarian, and Bary Habrock as Historian.
The 1990-91 FBLA chapter took part in the Fall Officers Workshop, they also held a Christmas Party, and held candy sales. The outstanding FBLA member for the year was Jason Martineck.

FRENCH CLUB
The french club for the 1990-91 school year had a pretty busy year. The members had an outing shopping at the Old Market and Crossroads in Omaha, ending the day with a meal at a French Cafe. Six of the members participated in Wayne's Foreign Language Christmas party, also some members participated in the Foreign Language Day in Wayne.

ANNUAL
With Mr.Larry Thieman as the 1990-91 annual teacher, the year started out with thirteen students. The theme chosen for the yearbook that year was "Kick'n Up A Storm".

P.A.D.A.
The P.A.D.A. for the 1900-91 school year consisted of forty-five pledged members who had signed the pledge to remain drug free for a period of one year. P.A.D.A. was involved in a lot of statewide projects, they did Red Ribbon Week, also during the Drunk and Drugged Driving Week they had several speakers during health classes to talk about the effects. The 1990-91 P.A.D.A. members went to a summer retreat in North Platte over the 1991 summer.

DRAMA
The Drama students performed the play "Present Tense" for the year.
Not only did they get to perform, but the students had a pizza party and a trip to Grand Island.
