National Honor Society
National Honor Society an in school organization that promotes appropriate recognition for students who reflect outstanding accomplishments in the area of academics, character, leadership and service.
This organization is called NHS because they look at the whole individual. Academics is only one part of a students acceptance. NHS is important because it gives the students something to strive for.
If you want to become an NHS member you must first maintain an average of 87 or above academically as well as being involved with extra curricular activities in the school or the community.
