Quiz Bowl

Quiz bowl is an extracurricular activity that requires a few skills. Some of these skills are having fast reaction times, having a vast knowledge, and being able to answer tough questions under pressure. You have to have fast reaction times to hit the buzzer before anyone else, you have to know a lot because the questions asked are of a wide variety, and you have to be able to answer questions under pressure because being on the quiz bowl team makes you have even more pressure to do well at the competitions.
The quiz bowl team has meetings either before or after school. In those meetings the students are asked questions that they will have to answer like they would at a competition. If you have good reaction times and know a lot of things, then you are most likely to go to the competitions.
One of the students said, "Quiz bowl is a lot of fun. We get to learn many interesting things. At the competitions, we get to compete against other schools. Many of the questions are hard so we have to have lots of meetings to get used to how we are supposed to answer those questions. Sometimes it helps to be different and know different things than other people, so that your teem can answer more questions than the other teams."
