The Tri County Northeast Wolfpack qualified for 7 events in an all-class qualifier meet in Norfolk on Thursday, May 1st. It brought the top 8 athletes regardless of class together at one time in respective events to find Northeast Nebraska’s best.
Tri County Northeast placed in the top 5 in all 7 of the events they competed in. The highest placing Wolfpack member was Bryan Isom in the triple jump. Isom tied his career and cooperative best with a leap of 42’9 ½”. Isom followed up that performance with fourth place effort in the 300 hurdles running a 41.80 and a fifth-place finish in the 110 hurdles at 15.74, just off his cooperative record.
The Tri County Northeast girls had a great day on the oval. The girls 4X100 relay ran a cooperative record time of 50.75, which is currently the eighth fastest time in the state. Team members, Rachael Bousquet, Bre Millard, Joslyn Mackling and Kiya Tornez tracked down 3 teams to finish fourth in the event.
Tornez, Millard and Bousquet then competed in one individual event each. Tornez bettered her cooperative record in the 100, by posting a fourth-place finish with a time of 12.69. Millard finished fourth in the 300 hurdles, bettering her cooperative record time, running 46.91. Millard’s time has her currently positioned ninth in Class C. Bousquet finished the day with a fifth-place finish in the 400, posting a personal best time of 62.24.
Next action for the entire squad is Saturday, May 3rd at Winnebago for the Lewis & Clark Conference Meet. The starting time is set for 9:30.

“The athletes were just electric today. The meet today was a mini-state track meet and they put out tremendously good efforts. The athletes work to continue to get better each time they compete. The coaches hope that their efforts will continue to get even better. Great Job!”
