medalists

The Tri County Northeast Wolfpack Cross Country boys and girls competed at the Indian Trails golf course of Thursday, September 4th, and put up improved performances from one year prior at the same meet.

Leading the way for the girl’s team was Alejandra Hermosillo.  The senior medaled in ninth place with a time of 23:46.40.  That was an improvement from a 12th place finish in 2024 and a clocking of 24:15.

Other Wolfpack girl runners were as follows with the comparable times from the 2024 meet:

Rachael Bousquet did not compete in 2024 but posted a time of 25:32.80 good for 26th place in an 80-runner field.

Hailey Millard improved her 2024 time of 30:19 to 28:07 placing 47th on the day.  Chloe Peters also improved her 2024 time of 30:33 to 28:23, good for a 49th place finish.

On the boy’s side, Jude Ridenour placed 21st, just missing medaling in 2024 with a time of 20:45. Ridenour ran the course in 20:31 and medaled in 14th place.

Other Wolfpack performances that were recorded were Alex Snyder, who in 2024 ran 21:25 placing 31st.  He navigated the course in 21:02, just missing a top 20 medal finishing 22nd.

Tucker Anderson, Logan Kraemer and Matthew Bousquet were first-time runners on the course.

Anderson posted a 25:50 good for 63rd in a 96-runner field.  Kraemer clocked a time of 25:57 good for 79th and Bousquet rounded out the team with an 83rd place finish and a time of 27:10.

The team performances were very good considering the ups and downs of the course and the infamous “Dead Man’s Hill”.  High winds also played a part in the day.

The Wolfpack teams will travel to Laurel on Thursday, September 11th, for the L-C-C Invite.  Meet time is set for 10:00 a.m.

COACHES COMMENTS:

“Coach Brentlinger and I were very pleased with the effort and comparable improvements of the team from just one year ago.  They are a work in progress but improving as we move forward.  With continued effort daily and gradual improvements this group will be ready to compete at the conference and district meets in very good fashion. The goal now is to continue to post better efforts weekly.  Good Luck at the L-C-C Meet and Great Job Teams!”
