The Tri County Northeast Wolfpack Cross Country teams competed against some of the better teams in Northeast Nebraska on Thursday, September 25th at the Weigand Camp area in the Crofton Invite.

It was a new venue, as the course/meet has annually been held at the golf course.  Due to renovations, the course was marked out in the State Park area.

There were 90 total boys in the field, and 57 in the girls’ field.

Although not truly comparable to the golf course, times were consistent for Ridenour, Hermosillo and Rachael Bousquet from earlier season meets.

COACHES COMMENTS:

“The team faced the toughest competition of the season.  Some of the athletes ran well and others struggled today due to heat.  It will be important to regain focus and mental toughness for the stretch run of the season.  Individually, there still is time to improve times, it will just take the athletes to do that.  Today was difficult and expected.  The athletes do continue to compete and lack of effort is not a problem.  Good job teams, good luck next week!”
