Tri County Northeast Lady Wolfpack Basketball opened the season with authority on Thursday night, overwhelming Randolph 54–19 in a Lewis & Clark match-up behind stifling defense, relentless rebounding, and a balanced scoring effort.
The Wolfpack jumped out early, leading 15–3 after the first quarter and stretching the margin to 31–6 at halftime. Tri County Northeast stayed in control throughout, outscoring the Lady Cardinals in every period and closing the night with a 35-point victory.
The Wolfpack dominated the glass, pulling down 32 total rebounds, including 27 defensive boards, to limit Randolph to one-shot possessions. Senior Sam Rastede fueled the interior presence, finishing with 9 rebounds and 2 points while helping disrupt Randolph drives all evening.
Offensively, Maddie Franzluebbers was efficient, scoring 6 points on 75% shooting from the field. Junior Joslyn Mackling chipped in 6 points and pressured the ball defensively, contributing to Randolph’s turnover issues.
Tri County Northeast also generated steady production from its youth, as freshman DeLaney Fuchser added 6 rebounds, two assists, and a block in a strong all-around game.
Randolph struggled to find rhythm against the Wolfpack defense, managing just six first-half points and finishing with 19 total, including 7 in the fourth quarter.
