The Tri County Northeast cross country team participated in the Logan View invitational on Thursday, August 27th. The boys team finished 13th place out of 16 teams. Team scoring required a team to have at least four runners which is why the girls did not receive a team score.
The girls' team was led by Freshman Karlee Duncan who placed 52nd with a time of 26:21.9. She had a great first meet performance and we are excited to see how she improves throughout the season.
Followed by Duncan’s performance were juniors Hailey Millard with a time of 27:44.4 finishing in 64th place, and Chloe Peters with a time of 28:01.3 in 69th place.
Highlights of the day for the boys were Jude Ridenour posting a time of 18:31.7 good enough for a 12th place medal in a really competitive meet.
Other Wolfpack boy runners were Alan Figueroa finishing 90th place with a time of 22:01.6, Tucker Anderson finishing 117th place with a time of 23:30.1, Matthew Bousquet finished 132nd with a time of 24:13.4, and Timothy Peters in 151st with a time of 26:02.2.
Junior High athletes were also in attendance today. The girls were represented by Ingrid Speiser in a time of 6:19.0 good enough for 12th place and Jayden Wilcox with a time of 6:46.9, good enough for 23rd out of 59 total runners. The single boy Junior High runner was Mikey Ridenour posting a time of 6:11.1 and finishing 26th place out of 73 runners.
Next action for the Wolfpack cross country team is Thursday, September 3rd at the Wisner Park. Meet time is scheduled for 9:30am, which is a change to the original start time and location.
