The Tri County Northeast Wolfpack volleyball team picked up another win Thursday, September 17, sweeping the Creighton Lady Bulldogs 3-0. The Wolfpack battled through two competitive opening sets before pulling away in the third, winning 25-20, 25-23 and 25-17.
Joslyn Mackling led the Wolfpack attack with a strong performance, recording 21 kills on 48 attempts while hitting .292. Cora Ridenour added eight kills, while DeLaney Fuchser finished with six and Briley Anderson contributed four. As a team, TCNE totaled 43 kills and posted a .224 hitting percentage.
Setter Ally Belt directed the Wolfpack offense with 38 assists while also contributing 10 digs and two service aces. Mackling and Ridenour also recorded two aces a piece as TCNE finished with six aces on the night.
Defensively, Emily Mitchell led the way with 20 digs, followed closely by Mackling with 17. Belt added 10 digs and Carlee Stanley chipped in nine as the Wolfpack collected 74 digs as a team. Anderson recorded TCNE's lone block of the match.
The Wolfpack's balanced offensive attack and solid back-row defense helped secure the straight-set victory over the Lady Bulldogs.
