Ff is for Fish 🐟
Preschool finished off the week making a paper plate fish. They applied tissue papers to the plate by using water. They loved peeling them off at the end to see the results!
(Some got creative at art table today and made their own hats to wear for the day!)



As winter approaches, ensuring that children are dressed appropriately for the trip to and from school and activities, along with in class and at recess becomes essential to keep them warm and comfortable in the chilly weather.
**Please make sure your student wears weather appropriate clothing and has winter weather gear for recess.


The Bloomfield Music Boosters will be serving chili and chicken noodle soup and cinnamon rolls along with taverns and egg salad sandwiches from 5pm-8pm at the basketball games tomorrow, Friday, December 6th. It is a free will donation.


The Emerson-Hubbard One Act team completed their season yesterday at districts. Congratulations to our cast who earned Outstanding Performance Awards at district competition: Keegan H., Drayden Z., Bella M., Briley A., Maddie F., and Ally B.! Way to go!
The cast, crew, and directors were dedicated and spent many hours on the stage practicing and performing this season. Keep up the good work! We are looking forward to next years' season!

The entertainment begins at approximately 30:00 into the EH Broadcasting live stream with a brief intermission between the PreK-5 and 6-12 portions.


On Tuesday, November 26th, 7th and 8th grade students from Emerson-Hubbard and Allen took part in an entrepreneurship day. They were given and item and had to use it to create their own product. At the end, the gave their “pitch” to try to get Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Ahlers to buy them! Thanks to the Thurston County Extension Office for putting this on!







The Giving Tree Information:
The E-H Student Council has once again partnered with the Post 60 Market in Emerson in hopes of spreading holiday cheer to people of all ages in the two communities. The store has graciously offered to host a Giving Tree which will have Wish Lists for children from the school district. If you would like to fulfill a Wish List please see the instructions below. If you are interested in making a monetary donation to go towards gifts please make all checks out to EH Student Council and mail it to EH StuCo at PO Box 9, Emerson, NE 68733. INSTRUCTIONS for the Wish Lists:
1. Take a Wish List tag off the Giving Tree to purchase a new gift for the local child in need. Wish List tags will be available to pick by Friday, November 29.
2. Deliver your new, unwrapped gift back to the Post 60 Market or to the E-H high school with the Wish List tag attached no later than Thursday, December 12.
The Post 60 Market and the E-H Student Council would like to say “Thank You!” for helping us spread holiday cheer to the communities of Emerson and Hubbard this Christmas season.

Emerson-Hubbard Community Schools 2024 Winter Concert will begin at 6:30 P.M. with the PreK-5 portion tomorrow, Tuesday, December 3rd.
There will be a brief intermission with the MS/HS portion following at approximately 7:15 P.M.
**Elementary students should arrive to the gym at 6:15 P.M. and sit with their class in the designated reserved seating.
**MS/HS students should plan to arrive at or before 7:00 P.M.
Students should dress up for the occasion. Any nice outfit will do (think picture day attire!). We hope to see you all there!

Elementary Students and Staff had a great time hosting our families. Classroom teachers shared a book, turkey cookies were made, and each class had a fun activity.
