MS Pirate Academy students made trebuchet-style catapults to explore the concepts of potential and kinetic energy. Adjustments were made to the catapults to see how changes in variables affected the height and distance of the flying marshmallows.
2nd Graders celebrated Johnny Appleseed’s birthday by measuring, weighing and estimating with apples. Tomorrow we will eat!
We learned lots of things about safety and the farm!

E-H third grade spent the day at Farm Safety Day presented by the Pender FFA with help from the E-H FFA. They learned about grain bin and equipment safety, how to be safe around farm animals, and much more.

Did you know yesterday was National “Talk Like a Pirate Day?” What a perfect day to kick off the Elementary STEAM Academy with a Pirate Escape Room and STEM challenge! These kids did a great job and are excited for next month!
