The middle schoolers reviewed their vocab words using a Kagan strategy called Quiz-Quiz-Trade on Friday. The test on Monday showed lots of improvement! Love this strategy!

Art students are off to a great start this school year! The first lessons all have to do with portraits and the history of portraits. Students created selfies and painted celebrities after working with photoshop to break their image up into values. Next up, students will work on creating a parody of the Mona Lisa, The Scream or American Gothic.

The music department just received word today that they were approved for a Nielsen Foundation grant for $14,000 to purchase more instruments! Thanks to their generosity, we will be purchasing 22 instruments for our students, and upcoming students, to use!!

First graders said good bye to the first monarch caterpillar. The process of turning from a caterpillar to a chrysalis only takes about 45 seconds and we witnessed it!! We will see you soon butterfly!!! Engaged❤️
