Due to incoming weather and predicted temperatures the JH Boys Basketball game and the HS Basketball games scheduled for today, January 11th have been postponed. There will be no basketball practices for Junior High AND no basketball or wrestling practices for High School today. Also all activities scheduled for Saturday, January 13th have been either cancelled or postponed. Please see the school calendar, bulletin, website or Facebook page for updates. Our Wolfpack travels to Wynot tonight to face the Blue Devils in JV and Varsity action. JV girls tip-off the night starting at 4 pm (4, 6 minute Q) with JV boys (4, 6 minute Q) and V girls and boys to follow. Streaming is available with a paid subscription on NFHS Network.

What a great way to finish up the first semester with our Semester Energy Bus Ticket Drawing. Each class had one ticket drawn from their semester worth of tickets and that student got to pick a prize. Reasons students earned tickets in this bunch included volunteering to sweep up the floor to having perfect attendance that week among other ways of being kind, making a difference and helping others. Congrats to all of these students! Lastly, all tickets earned by the entire school this semester were put in a box and one last ticket was drawn and that "lucky student" got to pick a prize as well! Way to go and keep up the great work students!

All 6-8 grade middle school students took written spelling tests last week and 15 students advanced to the oral spelling bee held on Friday. Congrats to 2023 E-H MS Bee Champion Chloe Peters, 2nd place Abe Mueller, and 3rd place (tie) Keegan Hightree and Kaydance Perez! They, along with 5th Grade Champion Ty Nielsen, will compete in the Dixon County Spelling Bee on Monday, January 29th at 9:00 A.M. in Allen.
Holiday Hop Dance
Date: Thursday, Dec. 21
Time: 7:30 pm to 11:30 pm
Fee: A pair of gloves, a hat, or $5.
*Money collected will go towards purchasing hats & gloves. The hats & gloves will first go to children in our school district and any leftovers will go to a warming shelter.
*Dress in casual holiday attire such as pajamas, sweaters/shirts, reindeer costumes, etc.
*Open to Emerson-Hubbard MS/HS students AND Allen JH/HS students.
There will be a simple concession stand.
