2023-2024 Emerson-Hubbard Community Schools Yearbook on sale now!

All 6-8 grade middle school students took written spelling tests last week and 15 students advanced to the oral spelling bee held on Friday. Congrats to 2023 E-H MS Bee Champion Chloe Peters, 2nd place Abe Mueller, and 3rd place (tie) Keegan Hightree and Kaydance Perez! They, along with 5th Grade Champion Ty Nielsen, will compete in the Dixon County Spelling Bee on Monday, January 29th at 9:00 A.M. in Allen.


Holiday Hop Dance
Date: Thursday, Dec. 21
Time: 7:30 pm to 11:30 pm
Fee: A pair of gloves, a hat, or $5.
*Money collected will go towards purchasing hats & gloves. The hats & gloves will first go to children in our school district and any leftovers will go to a warming shelter.
*Dress in casual holiday attire such as pajamas, sweaters/shirts, reindeer costumes, etc.
*Open to Emerson-Hubbard MS/HS students AND Allen JH/HS students.
There will be a simple concession stand.

2nd Graders went on a hunt for the gingerbread man this morning and learned about the businesses in town at the same time! Here are just a few businesses they visited!

Due to some very excited and eager elementary students, Santa Shop will be closed tonight for restocking. We will still provide gift wrapping from 4:00-5:00.

5:45 PM UPDATE: The ducks got delayed in delivery so tonight's "Chuck a Duck" fundraiser will be postponed. Practice tossing skills for the "Chuck a Duck" fundraiser held by the Allen Junior Class during halftimes of the basketball games tonight in Allen. One duck for $2, 3 for $5 or 6 for $10. The duck that lands closest to the center wins 50% of the pot!

REMINDER: Giving Tree Gifts are due back at the high school or the grocery store by this WEDNESDAY, December 13th!
The E-H Student Council has once again partnered with the Post 60 Market in Emerson in hopes of spreading holiday cheer to people of all ages in the two communities. The store has graciously offered to host a Giving Tree which will have Wish Lists for children from the school district. If you would like to fulfill a Wish List please see the instructions below. If you are interested in making a monetary donation to go towards gifts please make all checks out to EH Student Council and mail it to EH StuCo at P.O. Box 9, Emerson, NE 68733.
