Due to a high number of staff members absent and our lack of substitutes to fill those open classrooms, Emerson-Hubbard Public Schools (grades PS โ 12) will be closed Wednesday, August 26th through Friday, August 28th. We will continue to assess the situation and provide an update later this week about how we plan to proceed.
The High School football and volleyball teams will continue to practice and the games will be played as scheduled. Junior High practices have been cancelled for the remainder of the week.

As an added precaution, we will not be sending the JH Football or JH Volleyball team to Allen for practice on Monday (8/24), Tuesday (8/25), or Wednesday (8/26) this week. EH JH athletes will practice here, during 8th period, and they will be done by the end of the school day at 3:41.

Congratulations to those who made Pirate Crew last week by showing leadership and working hard:
Cooper, Miles, Inga, Naya, Camila, Drayden and Thomas
In addition, we had a lot of students make the Pirate Jar in their classroom by showing that Pirate Pride. Way to go!

Emerson-Hubbard Public Schools has been notified of confirmed, positive COVID-19 tests in the 3rd grade classroom of the Elementary School. Those that have been deemed a close contact have been notified. We will close the impacted classroom effective immediately for a 14-day window; the impacted class will be working remotely during this time.
We continue to encourage all parents to temperature scan and monitor students closely for any sign of potential illness. Students should remain at home if they are exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19: including fever, new or persistent cough, headache, loss of taste/smell, fatigue, and/or stomach issues (diarrhea).
We appreciate your continued support. If you have direct questions, please contact Lindsey Beaudette by email at: lbeaudette@ehpirates.org or by phone: 402-695-2636.

A GREAT first full week of school!
