
What you say and do makes a difference! Congrats to the MS/HS students and staff who were nominated by others at E-H to receive the "Difference Maker" awards for the month of October... Staff: Mick & Barb, Ms. Kuhlmann and Mrs. Huber Several other students and staff who also share positivity in our school were given cards letting them know the positive things they say and do that make a difference. The E-H JH Quiz Bowl team traveled to Coleridge for the LCC Quiz Bowl in October. They did a good job competing. Here's a few pics from their day at the event.




This past summer Makayla Horak went to FFAโs Washington Leadership Conference and she came back with a Living to Serve Plan. She is going to put little free libraries in Emerson for kids.
Makayla will be in the firehall tonight at Emersonโs โA Night on Mainโ from 5-8pm selling raffle tickets for a chance to win tabletop trees. Money raised from the tree raffle will help purchase supplies to build the little libraries and fill them with agricultural books for children. Stop by and get your chance to win!


Help us help the Emerson-Hubbard Food Pantry by donating this month! Simply send non-perishable food items with your child and we'll put it in our collection to go to the food pantry as they try to get 500 items.


Comb School Christmas Tours in Homer are the following dates and times:
November 4th and 5th from 1-4 p.m.
November 11th and 12th from 1-4 p.m.
First graders made corn ๐ฝ husk dolls, snowflakes, paper chains and used their handprints to make a Christmas tree to help decorate the Combs School for Christmas Tours this year.



Congratulations to these students as their tickets were drawn out of their classes Energy Bus tickets this month. They have earned a pizza party! Keep up the great work and earning those tickets!


The E-H MS/HS Science Club and sponsors went to Lincoln yesterday for a field trip to the UNL Engineering department. Check out these pics from their experience...







2nd Graders love Halloween! What a fun day!





E-H Elementary enjoyed their Halloween Parade today around Hubbard, through the fire hall and to Heritage of Emerson. Thanks to everyone for the treats! More pics to come. ๐




On Friday night, TCNE girls basketball team and coaches went to Scary Acres for a team bonding outing. They are looking forward to the start of the season!

Red Ribbon Week 2023 is in the books! It was a fun and eventful week for the students learning about importance of saying NO to drugs!






First graders were busy making corn ๐ฝ husk dolls to help decorate the Combs School for Christmas Tours. Children's presents have really changed over the years! ๐

As part of Red Ribbon Week, classes have joined up to "Be Kind to their Minds by Reading" which goes along with this year's RRW theme - "Be Kind To Your Mind. Live Drug Free!" Here are some pictures of first and third graders reading with one another this morning.








Below is the Halloween parade route for the Emerson-Hubbard Elementary students in Hubbard on Tuesday starting at 1 p.m. The past few Halloween's have been good weather but that doesn't appear to be the case. Dress warm and see you there!
